Energy Differential Calculator

A program that can show the difference in energy required to move the same amount of mass the same distance one overland and the other by air. But what I'm interested in here is the amount of energy required to overcome friction on the ground and the differential and energy required to keep that same mass aloft and overcome the coefficient of friction in the air. So, in other words, I'm not looking for a comparison of freight versus airfreight, I'm looking for the actual physics of the difference in energy cost it takes to move something on wheels over road versus moving that same mass through the air. How much more energy does it take to get a given mass airborne and to keep airborne and then to land it, and then compare that to the same trip start to finish made on wheels.
